Hilary Scott began his career almost a decade ago by making toys for his two children. Though he had no formal art training, he quickly developed a style which he terms "big, bold, lots of curves, lots of color, and whimsical, not too dark, not too serious." He works in a variety of materials, including paper mâché, wood, wire, foam, and polystyrene. He became a full-time artist in Somerville two years ago.
Luke Ski writes, records and performs comedy music (filk) on a variety of pop culture subjects ranging from Lord of the Rings and Star Wars to Spider-Man and Pirates of the Caribbean. Luke has enjoyed repeated success on The Dr. Demento Show by taking top honors with #1 most requested songs in 2002 ("Peter Parker") and 2003 ("Stealing Like a Hobbit"), and his most recent #1 hit on Demento's, "You Don't Know Jack." His latest DVD is The Ego Has Landed—not just a CD, because Luke also uses props and costumes. In addition, Luke Ski is also an artist, specializing in caricatures and cartooning.
